Fifty-four prizes totaling a value of more than $28,500 were awarded this year, including a $10,000 cash grand prize co-sponsored by Team Blevins and a second prize of $5,000 in cash.

Other top donated prizes included a Personal Computer from Advanced Business Systems, His and Hers Citizen Watches from Huletts at Hackets, Domestic Scan Kit from NAPA Auto Parts, $1,000 cash from Waste Stream, Inc., $700 cash from MFL Engineering and a La-Z-Boy Recliner from Green Furniture. A complete list of prizes noting various community partners throughout St. Lawrence County is available on the Agency's website, www.slnysarc.org.

Winners were selected by drawing on April 20, 2007 at the Best Western University Inn, Canton, NY. The Fund Raiser was hosted by Jeff Cole, the morning and noon news anchor for WWNYTV.

Jeff Cole is an award winning journalist, honored by the New York State Broadcasters Association, The Syracuse Press Club and the New York State Associated Press. He has received awards which include "Best Investigative News Report," "Best Enterprise Reporting," and "Best News Documentary." Cole has graciously volunteered his time to host St. Lawrence NYSARC's Fund Raiser for the past three years.

Money raised during the Fund Raiser is used to help support the Agency's work on behalf of children and adults with intellectual and other disabilities. The funds raised are vital to pay for services not fully financed through other sources. Programs benefited by the Fund Raiser provide opportunities for participants to experience theater, dance, music, visual arts, respite and travel.

St. Lawrence NYSARC exists as a non-profit membership association dedicated to full inclusion and integration for persons with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities within our communities. The Agency's mission is to offer individuals and their families an opportunity to achieve self-determined goals and provide life-long learning opportunities.
