| St Lawrence NYSARC Announces 28th Annual Fund Raiser Winners | |

A Grand Prize of
$10,000 Awarded to Herb Waugh of St. Lawrence NYSARC (www.slnysarc.org), a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to working for and with people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, conducted the 28th Annual Fund Raiser on April 25, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at the Best Western University Inn, Canton, New York. The Agency sold 5,125 certificates for a net profit of $30,786. The Agency gave away forty prizes with a cash value of more than $27,000. Herb Waugh of Gouverneur, NY won the grand prize of $10,000 cash which was co-sponsored by Team Blevins. The Agency's Fund Raiser was hosted by WWNYTV's Jeff Cole, the anchor of "7 News This Morning" and "7 News at Noon." Patricia Campanella, President of St. Lawrence NYSARC's Board of Directors, gave the opening comments for the evening. Those presiding over the drawing included: Mark Waterstram, C.P.A. from The Bonadio Group, Officer Andy Dow, Canton Police Department, and Richard L. Laurin, past Executive Director. Daphne Pickert, Executive Director of St. Lawrence NYSARC, expressed enthusiasm for the community's support of the Fund Raiser. "This annual appeal is crucial to sustain programs that would not otherwise be available to people with disabilities in St. Lawrence County," said Pickert. "The funds raised maintain services such as Family Support and give us the ability to develop new programs to serve children with Autism.
