St.
Lawrence NYSARC (www.slnysarc.org)
announced their support for Peter Kahrmann's American Spirit Challenge
bicycle ride as he travels through St. Lawrence County on Thursday,
September 30th and Friday, October 1st.
Peter
Kahrmann, a brain injury survivor,
is taking the 1,000-mile challenge across St.
Lawrence NYSARC is a provider of services to individuals with Traumatic
Brain Injury. The people who
participate in this program will join Kahrmann by walking and riding
through The
facts on brain injury confirm the need to increase public awareness.
Each year, 53,000 Americans die from brain injuries and 7,000 of
those people are children. Someone
suffers a brain injury every 21 seconds in our country. Between
1.5 and 2 million people in the Additional
support for American Spirit Challenge 2004 will be provided by the
Potsdam Elks Lodge 2074 of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, The
Potsdam Village Police Department and Great Northern Custom
Screenprinting and Design. |
