SLNYSARC Wins Grant from High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - The St. Lawrence NYSARC was chosen based on their commitment and service in the community for persons with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.

Spring For Hope is an opportunity open to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations actively supporting the community and fundraising. The grand prize provides St. Lawrence NYSARC with two nights' accommodations (up to 133 rooms), free meeting space (up to 10,000 square feet), free audiovisual and support services, and 50% reduction of all related catering for three days during the month of April, 2014.

"We received numerous applications from deserving non-profit organizations around the region," said Bob Trotter, General Manager of High Peaks Resort. "St. Lawrence NYSARC’s impact on their local communities is considerable. In the spirit of giving back, we are pleased to honor them and how they have greatly enhanced the quality of life in upstate New York."

"It is exciting to be selected as the recipients of the Spring for Hope gift," said Daphne Pickert, St. Lawrence NYSARC's CEO. "This gift will give us the opportunity to offer a much needed educational conference for staff and family members who care for people with developmental disabilities."
