St. Lawrence NYSARC 33rd Annual Fund Raiser Tickets on Sale - Proceeds to Benefit Summer Camp

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – St. Lawrence NYSARC, (www.slnysarc.org) a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to working for and with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will hold the 33rd Annual Fund Raiser drawing on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Potsdam Elks Lodge, BPOE #2074. The raffle features a grand prize of $10,000! Proceeds from the Fund Raiser will support Dodge Pond, the area’s only fully accessible camp designed specifically for people with disabilities.

The doors will open at 6:15 p.m. and the certificate drawing will begin at 7:00 p.m. The event is hosted by WWNYTV’s Jeff Cole, the anchor of “7News This Morning” and “7News at Noon.” The Fund Raiser is free and open to the public. Sponsors for the event include: Kinney Drugs Foundation, Team Blevins, Casella Waste, and Tracy’s Used Cars.

Fund Raiser tickets are on sale now and cost $10 each or three for $25. Tickets can be purchased at all St. Lawrence NYSARC locations, at Coakely’s Ace Hardware in Canton and online at www.slnysarc.org.

This year’s prize list includes: a one-week getaway to Lake Ozonia from Dave and Denice Button, a 5k Blue Topaz necklace from Carbino’s Jewelers, a laptop computer from Advanced Business Systems, and a Hand Made Quilt provided by Gouverneur Roofing & Sheet Metal.

All money raised during the Fund Raiser will help support the Agency’s Dodge Pond Summer Camp. Thanks to our generous contributors, more than 300 people with disabilities have the chance to enjoy camping in a fully accessible environment each year. Dodge Pond is the only location in Northern New York dedicated to giving individuals a quality, outdoor experience with a staff trained to work with their specific needs.
