St. Lawrence NYSARC Offers Vacation Options for People with Disabilities

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – St. Lawrence NYSARC, a private, non-profit organization committed to maximizing the potential of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, announced new recreation offerings at Dodge Pond, located in Fine, N.Y. Dodge Pond’s Summer vacations are available for eight different sessions starting on June 23, 2014 and running through July 25, 2014.

Dodge Pond vacations offer attractive itineraries providing people with choices to create a relaxing and engaging experience. These specialized retreats provide people with disabilities a fun escape with the benefit of attention from a highly trained staff. The activities are as lively or calm as the guest prefers. Just a few of the many offerings include: swimming, fishing, nature walks, boating, wheel chair accessible rafting, games, campfires, contests, movies in the pavilion, dances, basketball, volleyball, obstacle course, and so much more!

Dodge Pond is owned and operated by St. Lawrence NYSARC. The rustic setting is composed of 300 acres of woodlands, including a large spring-fed pond suited for many forms of wildlife. Dodge Pond has been offering programs for thirty years to adults and children with developmental disabilities.

Dodge Pond vacations cost $255 for two nights, $306 for four nights, and $350 for five nights, per person.
