St. Lawrence NYSARC's Community Players Wins "Wilder Wilder Everywhere" Video Contest

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - St. Lawrence NYSARC (www.slnysarc.org), a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to working for and with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, proudly announces that actors in the Community Arts Program won the ìWilder Wilder Everywhereî Video Contest. The competition was held by Playscripts, Inc. and The Wilder Family LLC.

ìSt. Lawrence NYSARC found a truly creative way to bring Wilderís work to their America,î said Rosey Strub, The Wilder Family's Director of Programs.

The contest is part of the ongoing celebration of the 75th anniversary of Our Town, in recognition of Thornton Wilderís contribution to the landscape of American Theater as a playwright and novelist whose works explore the connection between the cosmic and commonplace dimensions of human experience.

Contestants were invited to submit videos filmed in unexpected, intriguing or iconic settings all over America. St. Lawrence NYSARCís video entry was based on the Wilderís playet, The Message and Jehanne. Videos were uploaded to Facebook and finalists were determined by the number of likes each video received. The winner was then chosen by Playscripts and The Wilder Family.
