St. Lawrence NYSARC Offers Maple Vacation for People with Disabilities

ST. LAWRENCE NYSARC OFFERS MAPLE VACATION FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - St. Lawrence NYSARC, a private, non-profit organization committed to maximizing the potential of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, announced that a special “Maple Madness” vacation will take place at Dodge Pond, located in Fine, N.Y., from March 21-23, 2014.

This relaxing Adirondack retreat runs for three days/two nights and seeks individuals interested in the ultimate maple experience. Vacationers will participate in activities including: cooking with maple products, sap collection, snowshoeing, ice fishing and learning how to make syrup. Maple Madness will have daily classes and authentic maple products that are prepared on-site.

Dodge Pond vacations offer attractive itineraries providing people with choices to create a relaxing and engaging experience. These specialized vacations provide people with disabilities a fun retreat with the benefit of attention from a highly trained staff. The activities are as lively or calm as the guest prefers. Dodge Pond is owned and operated by St. Lawrence NYSARC. The rustic setting is composed of 300 acres of woodlands, including a large spring fed pond suited for many forms of wildlife. Dodge Pond has been offering programs for twenty five years to adults and children with developmental disabilities.
