St. Lawrence NYSARC 34th Annual Fund Raiser Tickets on Sale - Proceeds to Benefit Summer Camp

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – St. Lawrence NYSARC, a private, non-profit organization committed to maximizing the potential of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will hold the 34th Annual Fund Raiser drawing on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at SLNYSARC’s main office located at 6 Commerce Lane in Canton, NY. The certificate drawing will be at 4:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Sponsors for the event include: Team Blevins and Tracy’s Used Cars.

The raffle features a grand prize of $10,000! This year’s other prizes include: a one-week getaway to Lake Ozonia donated by Dave and Denice Button, a red garnet and diamond pendant and necklace donated by Carbino’s Jewelers, a laptop computer donated by Advanced Business Systems, and a handmade quilt donated by Gouverneur Roofing & Sheet Metal. Fund Raiser tickets are on sale now at all St. Lawrence NYSARC locations and cost $10 each or three for $25.

Proceeds from the Fund Raiser will support Dodge Pond, the area’s only fully accessible vacation destination for people with disabilities. Thanks to our generous contributors, hundreds of people with disabilities have the chance to enjoy a quality, outdoor experience with a staff trained to work with their specific needs.

The drawing will take place during a free concert from the band, Flame. Thanks to a presenting sponsorship from the Down Syndrome Association of SLC, this performance will be open to the public as part of Dairy Princess Weekend. Additional support for Flame is being provided by Kinney Drugs Foundation, Enbridge, and the Canton Community Foundation.
