Team NYSARC Cleans Main Street in Massena

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - St. Lawrence NYSARC, (www.slnysarc.org), a non-profit corporation dedicated to working for and with people with disabilities announced that Team NYSARC recently volunteered to help with a Fall clean-up for the village of Massena. Last week, eight members volunteered to sweep the sidewalks and clean Main Street in preparation for the busy holiday season.

"The Team NYSARC crew did a wonderful job and hit the areas that needed attention the most," said. James F. Hidy, Village of Massena Mayor. "I'm looking forward to a continued partnership with St. Lawrence NSYARC."

The Team is a group of over 200 program participants, staff, and community members devoted to local volunteerism. The group's mission is to make a difference through collaboration with local agencies and other volunteer organizations to help people in need.

Team NYSARC has been involved with a variety of projects that include; the Edward Moses Walk/Run, Hobble Gobble, Humane Societies, American Red Cross; as well as supporting their own Walk for Autism Awareness on the second Saturday every September.

"We thank SLNYSARC for the help. Our sidewalks never looked so clean," said Hassan Fayad, Superintendent of Public Works. "We are proud of what you do and what Team NYSARC stands for."
